After years of preparation and the disruption caused by the pandemic, FSE’s 18 active fans’ embassies reached a key milestone earlier this week, namely seeing a game in all 11 UEFA EURO 2020 host cities.
Reflecting on this achievement, FSE Fans’ Embassies coordinator Matt Willis commented:
“It’s been brilliant to see our Fans’ Embassies working and offering exceptional support despite the challenges presented by COVID-19. For those who are new to our project and the concept of a Fans’ Embassy, it’s a service run ‘by fans, for fans’ that aims to provide accurate, reliable, up-to-date, independent, and objective information on any matters of interest to travelling fans. It’s been brilliant to work with the 11 host city organisers to get key information to those on the ground.”
