No exemptions will be made for ticket holders. Depending on your country of origin, you may not be allowed to enter the Netherlands at all.
Transport in Amsterdam – Amsterdam is a wonderfully walkable city, with most major sites in or near the city centre. Public transport in Amsterdam city center is operated by GVB company which provides integrated metro, tram and bus services. As tickets you will use an Amsterdam transport OV-chipcard loaded with money or timeframe product. For example, 24 hours for €7.50 to 168 hours for €34 in 2017. You can buy these from a machine at places like metro stations or shops.
The Amsterdam Arena is in a modern office park in the south-east of Amsterdam, approximately 10 kilometers from the city centre. The stadium is best reached by train or metro. Train station Bijlmer ArenA lies next to the stadium and can be reached in 15 minutes from Amsterdam Central Station. There is very regular service. The metro takes only little longer and stops at the same station as well as station Strandvliet/ArenA that lies on the north side of the stadium. Take metro 54 from Amsterdam Central Station, or any of the stops in Amsterdam city centre.

Entry in to England – As a ticket holder for one of the EURO 2020 matches at Wembley Stadium, please note that at this time there are still border restrictions in place in the UK. It is essential that anyone travelling from overseas complies with these restrictions.
Please consider carefully whether you can safely travel to attend matches.
- A EURO 2020 match ticket does not exempt you from the travel restrictions currently in place in the UK.
- Failure to comply with these restrictions is a criminal offence.
- There is a chance that someone planning to do so may be refused entry to the UK, while someone caught breaching self-isolation rules is liable to a fine of up to £10,000.
- All arrivals should expect queues at the UK border.
Border restrictions – England
If you enter the England from outside the UK or Ireland (or other parts of the Common Travel Area), you need to:
- Have a negative test in the three days (72 hours) prior to arrival.
- Complete a Passenger Locator Form. Border Force are currently checking all arrivals to ensure completion of the Passenger Locator Form and proof of required test bookings.
- Comply with other restrictions, depending on the country you are coming from (or have been in within the previous 10 days):
🔴 Entering from a Red List country:
British or Irish national or UK residents:
- Enter a managed quarantine hotel for 10 days at your own expense
Foreign Nationals without residence rights in the UK:
- Will be refused entry to the UK
- If it is suspected that an individual intends to do so, they may be denied entry on arrival at the border.
🟡 Entering from an Amber List country:
- Bring proof of a negative test result from within the last 72 hours (pre-departure test)
- Complete a Passenger Locator Form
- Quarantine at home or the place where you are staying (e.g. a hotel) for 10 days
- Take a COVID-19 test on or before day 2, and on or after day 8 at your own expense.
- Individuals will not be permitted to attend games that take place within the first 10 days of arriving in England, even if they hold a ticket. If it is suspected that an individual intends to do so, they may be denied entry on arrival at the border.
- Arrivals can end this isolation period on day 5 with a negative test result through the ‘test to release’ scheme – you could attend a match after that point. A negative test will still need to be booked for day 8.
- Individuals will be called by the Isolation Assurance and Compliance Service throughout their self-isolation period, to check that they are complying with their duty to self-isolate.
🟢 Entering from a Green list country:
- Bring proof of a negative test result from within the last 72 hours (pre-departure test)
- Complete a Passenger Locator Form
- Book and pay for in advance a day 2 COVID-19 test, to be taken after arrival
